Is this girl taking advantage of me?

  • I don't want to be neurotic, but I don't want to be naive either.

    This girl I've been talking to for awhile...she always does this. We'll exchange e-mails and texts for like, 3 days...then all of a sudden, she'll stop responding. She won't return my text or e-mails for about 3wks, then out of the blue, she'll hit me up with, "hey...how's it going?"

    As if she doesn't have 6 or 7 unanswered messages from me!!

    This has happened, like, 4 times...I'm beginning to think she's taking advantage of me. She must get some kind of high off me calling and texting and e-mailing her while she sits back and ignores me for a whole month. I sent her a text asking why she does that...of course, I never got a response.

    What should I do??


  • She is using you, for the sake of having a person to talk to. You can not talk to her or simply tell her that you don't like what she is doing to you, if she doesn't change stop talking to her.


  • The way i see it, yes she is using you. Well maybe thats not the right way to put it it... But what other way?

    Friendship requires participation from BOTH sides. Not just when you're bored or have nothing better to do. The fact that she didnt reply when you asked her about it means she doesnt really care. Because if she did, she would've atleast come up with some sort of excuse. (Lame or not, that would've shown she was TRYING.)

    Friends comminuicate at all times. When bored or busy or stressed or relaxed. You cant pick times to be friends and pretend to be strangers at other times.


  • Play hard to get where you can or just dump her. Meet face to face with her and tell her it is over.


  • Don't play games. It is what it is. Accept it for what it is.


  • Just ask her why haven't she returned any of your messages. Maybe there's a reason she didn't answer.


  • Just try to chill. She is what she is and if thats being inconsiderate than thats just what it is.

    Frankly, its this kind of thing thats helps you decide what kind of people you want to be friends with and what you have to deal with in order for them to be friends with you.

    Life's too short to be worrying about other peoples hangups.


  • I think you should play her game and when she texts you don't answer. See what is her next move if she doesn' t answer it is because she is not interested. Good luck!
